The cross-country trail around the Rittisberg is a sporting challenge for classic style fans. Especially the long-drawn-out ascent on the west side of the Rittisberg requires good physical condition and technique. At the same time, this trail offers you a wonderful nature experience and great places to stop for refreshments in rustic huts. The Rittisloipe is generally only groomed for classic style. The Rittisloipe is usually skied in combination with the Stadionloipe and the Standardloipe WEST as well as the Halserloipe.

The Rittisloipe runs around the western side of the Rittisberg. It is usually skied counter-clockwise, starting from the Fischteich (X) junction towards Halseralm (W). However, it is also possible to ski it in the opposite direction. The Rittisloipe is mostly skied in combination with:

the Stadionloipe and Standardloipe WEST to the Fischteich junction, followed by the Rittisloipe. You return via the Halserloipe and from Helpferer via the Standardloipe WEST and Stadionloipe, or
via the Standardloipe WEST from the Rittisberg entry point to Fischteich, followed by the Rittisloipe. Return also via the Halserloipe and from the Helpferer junction via the Standardloipe WEST to the Rittisberg.

At the beginning, the Rittisloipe leads downhill through the forest on a descent until the long ascent begins after approx. 2 km. Now it goes uphill for a good 4 km and 4 serpentines until you finally reach the highest point of the trail at approx. 1,300 m above sea level after a total of 6 km. This is followed by a descent to the Wiesmahdalm and on to the Sonnenalm. From there, you reach the Halseralm (W) junction on the south side of the Rittisberg in about 1 km.

Exit from the Ennstal main road at Schladming-Mitte. Continue to Ramsau-Ort to the cross-country skiing stadium (when combining with the Stadionloipe and Standardloipe WEST) or otherwise to Rittisberg (Standardloipe WEST).

When combined with the Stadionloipe, directly at the "Ramsau Zentrum" next to the cross-country skiing stadium. Otherwise at the Rittisberg parking lot.

Take the Ramsauer Verkehrsbetriebe buses from Schladming (also from the train station) to Ramsau, Ort stop (for combination with the Stadionloipe and Standardloipe WEST) or Rittisberg stop (Standardloipe WEST).
