The Halserloipe is a trail for athletic connoisseurs and offers several great places to stop for refreshments. Like several others in Ramsau, the trail is well-suited for culinary meetings between cross-country skiers and winter hikers, as a winter hiking trail also leads to the Halseralm alongside the cross-country track. The trail is classified as intermediate primarily due to the ascents and descents rather than technical difficulty, although a safe braking technique is a prerequisite – as with all trails featuring climbs and downhills. The Halserloipe from Greimelbacher is a classic trail. A narrow skating lane is also available, which can be used by those with the appropriate skills.

The Halserloipe starts at the Helpferer trail junction, which you can reach via the Stadionloipe and Standardloipe West (from the cross-country stadium) or the Standardloipe West (from Rittisberg). Alternatively, you can join the trail at the Greimelbacher junction near the Rittisberg Süd parking lot.

From the Helpferer junction, the route first leads down a brisk descent to the Rittisser and from there past the Rittisberghütte relatively flat to the Greimelbacher junction. There, the steady gentle climb to the Rösteralm begins. Only there does it become flatter again and leads to the end or turning point at the Halseralm.

Take the exit Schladming-Mitte from the Ennstal Bundesstraße. Continue towards Ramsau am Dachstein. Depending on your starting point, drive:

to the cross-country skiing stadium in Ramsau Ort: access via Stadionloipe and Standardloipe West
to the Rittisberg: access via the Standardloipe West
to the Rittisberg süd car park: direct access to the Halserloipe

At the "Ramsau Zentrum" directly next to the Ramsau Ort cross-country skiing stadium or at the Rittisberg.

Take the buses of the Ramsauer Verkehrsbetriebe from Schladming (also from the train station) to Ramsau-Ort or to Rittisberg.

The trail is often combined with the Stadionloipe and Standardloipe WEST (up to the Helpferer junction) and started from the cross-country skiing stadium in Ramsau Ort.
