Hierzegg Trail
Tour description
The technically demanding trail to Hierzegg is a classic cross-country trail for experts. Although it is short, good technique is required here. The trail features constant ups and downs, but rewards you with a spectacular view of the Dachstein. The entry point is at the Auwirt cross-country and hiking portal in Hierzegg. About 200 m west of the entry, the trail branches off from the Rittisloipe. If you ski east from the Auwirt starting point on the Rittisloipe, you will reach the Standardloipe WEST in about 700 meters. From there, you can easily combine the loops to Ramsau Beach with the Hierzeggloipe.

The Hierzeggloipe starts at the Auwirt cross-country skiing and hiking portal in Hierzegg. From there, follow the Rittisloipe westwards for about 200 metres, where you then branch off to the right onto the Hierzeggloipe. Passing the Grundlehnerhof, the trail leads to Camping Dachstein. Passing the Mühlebner and the Bergerhof, a circular loop leads back to the campsite and along the same path back towards Auwirt.
Exit the Ennstal main road at Schladming-Mitte. Continue to Ramsau am Dachstein and through the village to Schildlehen to the Rittisberg valley station (when combining with the standard trail WEST and Rittisloipe) or otherwise directly to Auwirt for immediate access to the trail.

Take the buses of the Ramsauer Verkehrsbetriebe from Schladming (also from the train station) to Ramsau as far as the Dachsteinstraße stop. From there, take the Standardloipe WEST and the Rittisloipe to the starting point at the Auwirt.
