Tour description

The Kulmbergloipe runs on the eastern side of the Kulmberg and starts at the Alpenbad (F) junction in Ramsau Kulm. At the Alpenbad junction, the Kulmloipe is connected to the Stadionloipe via the Kulmdörfl-Loipe. It also connects to the Leitenloipe here. At the Friener junction, the trail links up with the Vorbergloipe. The Kulmbergloipe is an important part of the loop around the Kulmberg, offering both a sporting challenge and scenic enjoyment. Although some sections are easy, a basic level of cross-country skiing fitness and advanced technique are required. This trail is usually combined with other trail sections to form a complete loop around the Kulmberg.

The Kulmloipe starts at the Alpenbad (F) junction and leads from there through the higher areas of the Obere and Untere Leiten districts. At Burglechner, an additional loop is groomed if there is sufficient snow. After crossing the road at Adlerhorst, the sporting challenge of this trail awaits from Brandlhof with the ascent up to Frienerhof.
This trail is usually combined with the following other trails to form a complete circuit around the Kulmberg.

Stadionloipe eastwards to the BILLA junction
Kulmdörfl-Loipe to the Alpenbad junction
Here follows the Kulmloipe to the Friener junction
Vorbergloipe to the Rittisser junction
Halserloipe to the Helpferer junction
Standardloipe West and Stadionloipe back to the stadium

Exit from the Ennstal main road at Schladming-Mitte. Continue to Ramsau am Dachstein until you reach the information office in Ramsau Kulm. From there, you can reach the entry point at the Alpenbad junction in a 5-minute walk. If combining with other trails for the Kulmbergrunde, you start directly at the cross-country skiing stadium in Ramsau Ort.

At the "Ramsau Zentrum" directly next to the Ramsau Ort cross-country skiing stadium or at the car park at Sportmoden Schrempf in Kulm (access via the Kulmdörfl trail at Hotel Annelies).

With the buses of the Ramsauer Verkehrsbetriebe from Schladming (also from the train station) to Ramsau-Kulm (direct access) or Ramsau-Ort (when combining with other trails).
