Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area in Ski amadé: 123 kilometers of non-stop pistes

30.09.2021

The Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area in Ski amadé unites the famous ski mountains of Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm to create an offer unique in all of Austria: 123 piste kilometers along with 45 modern gondolas and ski lifts for non-stop winter enjoyment. Five other small-yet-exceptional ski resorts add the perfect finishing touches to skiing enjoyment in the Schladming-Dachstein Region.

Hauser Kaibling: the loveliest slopes

Hauser Kaibling is the easternmost skiing mountain of Schladming's 4-Mountain ski link. The mountain's guaranteed parking makes it the ideal entry point. "The loveliest slopes" are not just an advertising gimmick for Hauser Kaibling, but literal truth. A dedicated team with ultra-modern equipment and facilities are responsible for making sure the slopes of this mountain are among the best-prepared in Austria. In addition, the ski guests can expect the brand new XXL Funslope, which guarantees fun and action for all ages on an incredible 1,460 meters in total length.

Planai: on the trail of world champions

To ski on Planai is to follow in the footsteps of world champions. After hosting two alpine skiing World Cups (in 2013 and 1982), Planai is known as the "World Cup Mountain" of the international sporting scene. Guests continue to enjoy the associated infrastructure including broad slopes, highly efficient snow equipment, a modern valley station building (Planet Planai) with a one-stop-shop and one of the most up-to-date parking garages in Europe.

Hochwurzen: action night and day

An ultra-modern 10-seater gondola lift can transport up to 2,500 people per hour to the top of Hochwurzen. The diverse slopes of this ski mountain are suitable for skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing - by day and by night. With the Hopsi slope, Funslope and slopes with varying degrees of difficulty, Hochwurzen has made a name for itself over the years as a family skiing mountain.

Reiteralm: training and ski cross mountain

Reiteralm is located on the western edge of Schladming's 4-Mountain ski link. In previous years, it has been acknowledged as the training mountain for the elite of the skiing world. It is the only skiing region in Europe to receive the "Triple Gold" award of excellence in international ski area assessments. With the newly-constructed "Reiteralm Crosspark", the mountain adds an innovative new attraction suitable for parcours beginners as well as professionals.

Schladming's 4-Mountain ski link in brief:

  •  123 kilometres of slopes (blue: 47 km, red: 69 km, black: 9 km)
  •  45 cable cars
  •  56 ski lodges for perfect stopovers
  •  Schladming's 4-Mountain ski link is 100 % snow-guaranteed

Five small, extraordinary ski resorts

“Cool the tempo – heat up the enjoyment”, that’s the motto of the Fageralm. This resort is all about laid-back, enjoyable skiing on a sunny high plateau at 1600 m above sea level. In the Ramsau am Dachstein ski region, the “sunniest ski slopes in Austria” turn your ski vacation into a feel-good getaway. More ambitious skiers will definitely find what they’re looking for on the Rittisberg, while “Kali’s Adventure Pistes” are certain to excite the kids. The Galsterberg in Pruggern has made an excellent name for itself as the “Gallic Ski Village” and as a ski area with a very traditional flavor. In “Galsti Land”, the region’s biggest KinderLand, the youngsters are greeted by Gallic figures, Romans, wild boar and many other attractions. The Riesneralm in Donnersbachwald has long been regarded as an insider tip. With more than 32 piste kilometers, it promises skiing enjoyment for all ability levels. It’s also a big hit with children and families as Austria’s first fully integrated ski circuit for kids. The Planneralm is the highest ski village in Styria. It has been a popular destination for tourists since 1908 – a unique opportunity for fun, recreation and marvelous nature experiences. Due to its favorable location (at elevations between 1600 and 2200 meters), it provides outstanding piste conditions on natural snow. The Riesneralm and the Planneralm, along with three other ski resorts, are part of the Schneebären-Card ticket alliance.
