Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area: Free ski passes for children up to six years old

Free skiing fun also on Galsterberg, Fageralm, and Rittisberg – Dachstein included

Family friendliness is a top priority in the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area: Starting in the 2025/26 winter season, all children up to six years old will ski for free. The offer is valid on all mountains in the 4-mountain ski area Schladming (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm) as well as for the small ski areas Rittisberg, Galsterberg, and Fageralm – including a free visit to the Dachstein Glacier. This not only saves families money, but also allows them to enjoy the full range of facilities on offer, including a total of over 163 kilometers of slopes, modern lifts, and special children's areas on all the region's ski mountains. This makes it easier, cheaper, and even more attractive for families to take up skiing.

“The 4-mountain ski area Schladming is already a magnet for guests from Austria and abroad. With the free ski ticket for small children, we are sending a strong signal that will provide additional relief for families and strengthen the future of winter sports in the long term,” says Klaus Hofstätter, Managing Director of Hauser Kaibling.

Georg Bliem, Managing Director of Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen, emphasizes: “With this innovation, we want to make things noticeably easier for families and make it as simple as possible for them to get started in winter sports. It is particularly pleasing that this offer applies not only to the four large ski mountains, but also to Galsterberg, which belongs to our company.”

"Family skiing is a special experience for many, and we are delighted that the little ones can now join in free of charge. This is a clear commitment to even greater family friendliness in the 4-mountain ski area – and of course also applies to our small ski area Fageralm. This means a noticeable reduction in costs, especially for local children and families. At the same time, we want to specifically promote young skiers in the area and make it easier for young talents to get started in winter sports," explains Daniel Berchthaller, Managing Director of Reiteralm Bergbahnen.
