The tour

The Bräualmloipe is a wonderful 1-lane classic trail for ski hikers. The trail winds along the Bräualmbach and through the sparse forest to the Bräualm and then back out of the valley.

Turn-by-turn directions

From St. Nikolai it goes gently uphill on the narrow cross-country trail. At first, the valley stretches out towards the stream, but very quickly after mastering the short ascent, the terrain opens up and one has a fantastic view of the mountain panorama.

Forest passages and free areas alternate until one finally reaches the picturesquely situated Bräualm. Then back to St. Nikolai.

In the Sölktäler Nature Park are particularly many areas for wildlife designated as rest areas. In the area of Bräualm is the game rest zone and decreed game protection area! Therefore, stay on the groomed cross-country ski trail and the groomed winter hiking trail, so that the game is not disturbed in their retreats.
