Tips for using the piste map

You can use the filters to customise the ski map and display exactly the information you need for your day in the mountains.
Find slopes by difficulty level

Use the slope filters to see exactly where the blue beginner slopes, red intermediate slopes or black advanced slopes are located.

Check live status

The slope and live status is updated daily. This allows you to see which areas are currently open before you set off or once you’re on the mountain.

Plan your stops

Use the catering filter to find all mountain huts directly on the piste map. Combine this filter with your planned route to discover the best places to stop for refreshments along the runs.

Use webcams

The webcam filter shows you all camera locations. Click on a webcam location on the piste map to view the current conditions before deciding on a particular descent.

Discover special highlights

With the highlights filter, you can find fun parks, fun slopes, speed runs and children’s areas marked directly on the piste map. This helps you discover attractions you might otherwise have overlooked.

Frequently asked questions about the piste map

The piste status on the interactive piste map is constantly updated and gives you an up-to-date overview of which pistes and lifts are open or closed. This means you can see which areas are currently open before you start your journey or once you’re at the mountain.

The piste map shows you all the slopes, lifts and points of interest in the ski resort. The colours of the slopes indicate their difficulty level: blue (easy), red (medium) and black (difficult). You can also see which areas are open and which are closed, as well as important information such as mountain restaurants, car parks and ski routes. This allows you to plan your runs perfectly and find your way around the ski resort with ease.

The blue-marked slopes are particularly suitable for beginners. These are especially wide, gentle and easy to navigate, allowing you to learn your first turns safely and at your own pace. In the Schladming-Dachstein region, you’ll find plenty of these easy runs, as well as dedicated practice areas and children’s zones.

The most challenging slopes are marked in black on the piste map. These runs are steeper and more demanding, and are intended for experienced skiers. On the interactive piste map, you can search specifically for these slopes and view their routes.

On the interactive piste map, you’ll also find activities away from the ski slopes, such as winter hiking trails and toboggan runs. These are clearly marked and will help you find your way around. You can find further activities, such as cross-country skiing and wellness facilities, in the relevant sections of the website.

Open huts and mountain restaurants are marked directly on the interactive piste map. Simply click on them to get more information – this way, you can quickly find the perfect place to stop for a break.
