The tour

The Gradenbach Track of the singletrack Haus-Aich is an easy trail route in the Lärchschachen forest between Weißenbach and Aich. Entry points are either the Singletrack car park and a slight uphill section on the 801 Re-Cycle Track or directly at the Kneipp facility car park. Very flowing slope.

Be careful at the crossroads with the entrance to the Aich waste recycling plant!

Turn-by-turn directions

Trail 802 starts at the northernmost upper end of the larch forest and runs parallel to the hiking trail and the Re-Cycle Track. Wavy sections and long curves ensure a lot of speed. In order to take a look at the beautiful Gradenbach, there are short stops during the descent. After about two thirds of the trail you cross the road (beware of heavy traffic). It continues uphill for a short while before enjoying a playful descent on the last 300 meters.

Getting there

From the West: Follow the A10 to Altenmarkt. Drive onto the B320 and continue in the direction of Liezen. Take the Hauser Kaibling exit.

From the East: Follow the A9 to Liezen. Drive onto the B320 and continue in the direction of Schladming. Take the Hauser Kaibling exit.

The right bike: mountain bike, trekking bike or gravel bike with studded tires, racing bikes are not recommended.

Breakdowns can happen - but rarely in front of the door of one of the numerous service points: a basic set of tools and accessories therefore never hurts! A replacement hose and/or patch kit, universal wrench, air pump, brake and gearshift cable and a screwdriver can never hurt.
