Due out in 2020 on Ruf Records, Stand Up! is sure to herald the global explosion of a singer-songwriter who has long threatened to boom. In her first decade, Shay has won four awards at the San Diego Music Awards, received a nomination at last year's prestigious Blues Music Awards and was named a "future blues icon" by Blues Matters! magazine.
Whether you picked up her debut album Soul Tonic in 2012, heard her on the acclaimed 2018 album A Woman Rules The World, or heard her songs on major TV networks like HBO and NBC, you're probably already a fan whether you realize it or not. But after signing with Ruf last year, Shay will be painting the world red in 2020. Recording at Wire Recording Studio in Austin with producer Kaz Kazanoff, the singer kept the good vibes flowing on Stand Up!
The title track sets the pace with sassy soul and smoky rapid-fire vocals, and the upbeat moments on the new album range from the rolling groove of Tell The Truth to the dirty funk of P.S. It's Not About You, with Shay's all-star studio band playing up to the occasion.
And the whole thing will be garnished with the exceptional guitarist from the Nikki Hill Band, Laura Chavez Look forward to an extraordinary Rhythm and Blues evening in the Kunst & Kulturhaus Öblarn. Your host Hans Danklmayer and his team are looking forward to welcoming you personally.
