Camp Styria 2019 in Schladming
Schladming
The camp started in 1992 with about 25 participants in the Graz area - meanwhile about 100 children and young people come together every year to make music together. The young participants come from Austria, neighbouring countries like Slovakia, Hungary and Poland and even from the USA, Canada, China, Australia or South Africa to Schladming to take part in the orchestra camp.
For 10 days the young people rehearse together with their teachers to present the remarkable programmes in concerts. In addition to intensive music making, experienced pedagogues provide fun and good humour with sporty and creative supporting programmes.
"Camp Styria is a great event and we are happy and proud to host the orchestra camp for the 5th time. Music is an important part of our offer, and after the International Wind Music Festival Mid EUROPE in July, Camp Styria is another musical highlight in Schladming's music summer. And of course we are delighted that guests from many different countries will find their way to Schladming in this way," says Hansjörg Stocker, Managing Director of the Schladming Tourism Association.
