This winter hiking trail leads from the starting point in Rohrmoos town center, ascending gently along the road to the Hotel "Das Platzl". From the horse-drawn sleigh starting point there, follow the groomed track to the so-called Schußbühel and continue uphill to the crossroads near Haus Moosheim. Here, turn left towards the ski slope and follow the groomed track alongside the ski slope down to the Obertalbahn cable car. Alternatively, you can hike directly from Schußbühel to the Obertalbahn. From there, continue below the cable car towards Obertal and, upon reaching the Rohrmoos-Süd-Weg, turn right uphill towards the Pocher farmstead. If you wish, you can extend your hike to the Schlapfer farmstead.
Otherwise, shortly before the farm, turn left onto the groomed path down to the Holzbacher farmstead and then left again onto the Rohrmoos-Süd-Weg. Follow this past the Stammerhof farm towards Rohrmoos Süd. There, take the groomed winter hiking trail uphill to the left towards the Obertalbahn cable car and, upon reaching the gate in the fence, turn right to the Braunhofer farmstead. From there, take the prepared path back down towards Rohrmoos Center.
Otherwise, shortly before the farm, turn left onto the groomed path down to the Holzbacher farmstead and then left again onto the Rohrmoos-Süd-Weg. Follow this past the Stammerhof farm towards Rohrmoos Süd. There, take the groomed winter hiking trail uphill to the left towards the Obertalbahn cable car and, upon reaching the gate in the fence, turn right to the Braunhofer farmstead. From there, take the prepared path back down towards Rohrmoos Center.
From Schladming take provincial highway L722 (Rohrmoosstraße road) to Rohrmoos and at the roundabout continue straight on to the village center of Rohrmoos.Parking is available in the village centre of Rohrmoos.
With the Planai buses from Schladming (Planet-Planai, Lendplatz) to Rohrmoos - bus stop "Rohrmoos-Zentrum".

In winter time it is therefore important to also be careful on supposedly easy walks. Sections that are in the shadows can easily get icy, and slopes on the side of the trail may have avalanche hazard. Mountain sport is always carried out under personal responsibility - in winter even more than in summer. Tourist offices or avalanche warning services do not take any responsibility in respect to information provided.
Good winter shoes, warm clothing, tuque, and gloves. You might also want to carry a small backbag with a warm drink in a thermos jug.
