A very warm welcome to our 3*** Hotel Timmelbauerhof and its proper farm at an elevation of 1000 metres, on the sunny plateau Ramsau am Dachstein in Austria. The hotel and farm have been family run for generations and we wish to spoil you with our excellent cuisine with produce from our farm.

The Hotel Timmelbauerhof is nestling between the meadows of the plateau Ramsau am Dachstein, just a few minutes by car away from the large ski resorts Planai, Hauser Kaibling, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm forming the ski area “Ski amadé”. A region that is ideal for a family holiday. The bus stop can be reached within eight minutes by foot. Your sports equipment is safe in our ski storage room with boot dryer.

Alternatively to Alpine skiing, there is also the possibility for snowshoeing, romantic sleigh rides and, of course, cross-country skiing along the Ramsau am Dachstein trails counting 220 km. You can access the cross-country trails as well as the winter walking paths right on our doorstep!

The friendly en-suite rooms in the Hotel Timmelbauerhof have Austrian country style furnishing and are equipped with bathroom and WC (bath tub or shower), hair dryer and cable TV. Additionally, the rooms have a sunny balcony with great views to the Tauern mountains. We also offer barrier free rooms. With our lift, you reach the rooms easily.

In the morning, we offer a hearty, rich buffet breakfast with products from our own farm. In the evening, you can enjoy regional specialties choosing your preferred set menu. By request we also serve vegetarian dishes. Furthermore, you might treat yourself to a drink in one of the cosy lounges “Kachelofenstube” and “Zirbenstube”, in the winter garden or on the sunny terrace. Relax in our sauna area with a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, an infrared cabin, and a solarium.

For the sportive ones, there is a leisure room with sports equipment and a game’s room with table tennis and tabletop football. In summer, while you are enjoying the sun sitting in a sun lounger at the heated pool, the kids are having fun playing on the outdoor playground with trampoline and swing. The children will be delighted exploring our farm with many animals such as cows, horses, sheep and cats.

Enjoy walks in the Alpine region, hiking, climbing and mountaineering tours for the entire family, the mountains, and magnificent panoramic views to the Dachstein mountains. For the mountain bikers among you, we are a central starting point with all sorts of possibilities, from a one-hour excursion to a three day’s Dachstein tour.
