The ascent of the highest alpine road in Styria is a unique experience. Once at the top, the Stoderzinken innkeepers will spoil you with delicious specialities. The famous Friedenskircherl, which sticks to the rock like an eagle's nest, is just a 30-minute walk away. The ascent to the summit cross leads over a mountain pine path or over the Florasteig (only for experienced people). For the brave, you can also climb with climbing equipment via the Stoderzinken via ferrata garden to the summit cross.

Road starting point Gröbming (town centre) in a slightly northwesterly direction (first along the Gröbming stream) to Winkl (Winkl road) - turn left (after approx. 3 km, the alpine road is sufficiently marked) - past the toll station - uphill over a length of 11 km (the average gradient is 9%; on the asphalted, generally renovated road) - parking Stoderzinken - terminal (Berggasthof Steinerhaus, 1845 m).

Return on the same route (with no less spectacular views and many curves) - Winkl tollbooth - Winkl road.

Toll: car: € 15,- or € 12,- if consumed by the Stoderzinken innkeepers; motorcycles: € 7,-.- free toll reduction with the Sommercard

Alternative (place of interest): Lendplatz - Kneipp facility - ovens (immediately after returning on Winklstraße turn left - Jägerwirt - Tipi-Dorf - Lend (terminus) - after 3 km parking)
