Our family-run bed and breakfast Pension Sonnwendhof lies in a particularly sunny and quiet panoramic spot in Ramsau am Dachstein. From here, you have gorgeous views to the Schladming Tauern and the Dachstein mountains.

Our B&B is away from the traffic of the main roads but still wonderfully close to Ramsau-Ort (about four minutes by car, or 15 minutes by foot).

Winter walking paths and cross-country trails are on the doorstep, and the Ramsau ski lifts are about five minutes away. A beginner’s ski lift is right beside the house, only 400 metres away. And to get to the Planai, it takes about 12 minutes by car.

You could head up to the Guttenberghaus mountain hut on a ski tour, starting from outside our B&B. We are a great starting point for ski mountaineering tours, snowshoe hikes and other activities.

Our pension has an ample lounge with panoramic views, and a ski and boot storage room, drying room and ski waxing room. Also, there is a relaxation room with an infrared sauna . Our rooms have a large balcony, a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, stereo, and free wi-fi. The public pool in Ramsau Ort with a great sauna area and a gym/weight room can be reached in five minutes.

We love to spoil our guests with a rich breakfast of muesli, spreads, cold cuts, cheese, jams, honey, fruit juices, fruit and even more. But should you prefer to cater for yourself, we have a fridge and a kitchen for you to cook in the evening for an extra fee and by request. You could even go one step further and use the house as self-catering accommodation without board.

If you wish, you could take lunch and dinner at the close by Hotel Berghof, about five minutes away. Snacks and traditional local food are offered in the Cafe Walcher,
