House Berghild Vacation in Ramsau am Dachstein Our house is located on a calm and sunny place in the midst of the Ramsau-Highplateau with a magnificent view of the imposing »Dachsteinmassiv« in the north and the »Schladminger Tauern« toward the south. The picturesque nature and the impressive mountains (altitude on 3 levels - Ramsauer highplateau on 1.200 m, alpine grazing land on 1.700 m and glacier on 2.700 m - ) are offering a varied environment. With a network of 80 km paths, Ramsau is a destination for walking and hiking friends. The »Dachstein-Tauern-Region« with clear streams, waterfalls, mountainlakes and meadows, forests, different nature and wildlife, offers terrific hiking- and climbing tours, trekking and various sports facilities. An ideal base for summer activities. In winter, Ramsau turns to a fairy tale landscape.The plateau is a paradise for cross-country skiers and walkers.The numerous cross-country and hiking trails, (starting point right next to the house), are groomed every day. They are considered to be one of the best in Europe. The huge ski area, »Schladming - Planai«, »ski amadé«, offers slopes in all levels of difficulty, for skiers and snowboarders. You can reach it by car or by Bus in a few minutes.
