Nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Untertal valley, the Waldhäuslalm is the perfect destination for the whole family.

In summer, the large adventure playground offers endless possibilities for children, while adults can enjoy culinary highlights on the sun terrace. The Waldhäuslalm is also an awarded Kulinarium Steiermark hut – here, regional quality is brought to the plate with love.

In winter, the Kristallloipe trail leads directly past the inn. You can reach the Waldhäuslalm not only on foot, cross-country skis, horse-drawn carriage, or snowshoes (which you can also rent there), but also comfortably by car.

Note: Do not forget your battery key and your own bike lock! Please hand in the battery for charging to the host of the hut.

• Warming drinks delivered right to the rink: Enjoy mulled wine, beer, or fruit tea – tailored to your preferences.

• Catering options: On request, we serve freshly prepared rolls directly at the rink. Alternatively, recharge after your curling game with a hearty meal in our cozy hut.

• Curling guide on request: We’re happy to arrange an experienced guide who will share tips and tricks for a successful game.

• Opening Hours for the Ice Rink: 10:00 AM - 9:30 PM (illuminated in the evening)

The Untertal attracts with innumerable possibilities to enjoy your leisure time. The Waldhäuslalm itself also has a lot to offer: In our own trout pond, young and old can test their fishing skills.

An absolute highlight for children is the large adventure playground with its own area for small children. Starting with various swings, the big slide from the small barn to the pedal boat. The playground also has its own racetrack with electric cars, a stable where you can get to know the farm animals better and a football pitch where football fans can play a match. Every Tuesday there are special afternoons for children.

Also those guests who just want to enjoy the view and the nice weather while having a good meal will find what they are looking for.

The Waldhäuslalm is the perfect place to spend a day away from the hustle and bustle of skiing in winter.

In winter, the Kristall cross-country ski trail leads directly past the inn. You can reach the Waldhäuslam not only on cross-country skis, on foot, in a horse-drawn carriage or with snowshoes (snowshoe rental), but you can also park comfortably right outside the front door. The illuminated curling rink invites you to have a game and the animals of the alp are happy if you visit them in the barn. 

The road to the Waldhäuslalm is cleared and the public bus also runs regularly.
