Via ferrata

Important Information
Tour description
The Hilde via ferrata, built in 2022, is currently the longest and most challenging via ferrata on the Stoderzinken with a climbing distance of approx. 700 metres. The 2nd steep section is partly overhanging and therefore a key section. The effort required is limited thanks to the many large clamps. From the exit, directly on the hiking trail to the Stoderzinken, it is only a few minutes to the summit.
Note:
A very well-designed via ferrata, very strenuous and exposed in places. Caution: Not suitable for inexperienced climbers and children!
Times:
- Via Ferrata - 1:45 h
- Time to Base - 0:45 h
- Time from Top - 1:00 h
- Total - 3:30 h

From the shuttle bus stop at the Roßfeld parking lot, follow the path past the Rosemi Alm to hiking trail no. 675. Follow this path downhill to the Kaiserwand bend. Below the bend, continue downhill to the "Verlobungskreuz" (engagement cross). Here, take the forest path to the left, where shortly afterward, the access to the Hilde via ferrata branches off to the left.
From the exit, you'll reach the Stoderzinken summit in just a few minutes. From there, follow the hiking trail back down to the Stoderhütte and back to the starting point at the shuttle bus stop at the Roßfeld parking lot.
From the B 320, turn off toward Gröbming town center and follow the signs toward Stoderzinken. The Stoderzinken Alpine Road is a toll road and climbs for 9 km to the parking lot at Rosemi Alm.
Parking free of charge.
In the summer holidays there is a shuttle bus between Gröbming and Stoderzinken.
