Sleigh ride to Untertal valley
Tour description
Tour with horse-drawn sleigh to Untertal valley. If you want to make a stop for refreshments, there are several inns and restaurants along the way that invite you to enjoy a warm drink out on their sun terraces or next to a warm, cozy tiled stove. Rides with the horse-drawn sleigh have to be booked in advance. The following providers offer tours in Rohrmoos and to Obertal valley:

There is a minimum fee per sleigh. Additionally the prices depend on the length of the tour agreed upon with the respective provider. Kids up to 10 years get a 50 % reduction. If the ride ends after 7 pm there is a night shift premium! Rustic alpine chalets along the way invite you to enjoy a refreshment stop – out on their sun terraces or next to a warm, cozy tiled stove, sipping on a mug of hot chocolate or spiced wine.
The tour

From the meeting point in the village of Rohrmoos the tour starts along Rohrmoosstraße, taking you downhill to the roundabout traffic. Here, the sleigh route turns off right onto Tälerstrasse road and takes you downhill into the small village of Untertal with Landalm inn. From there, the tour ascends slightly into the beautiful high valley of Untertal, passing by Michlbauer inn, the cross-country trail head Hinkerbrücke (tip for XC skiers: Kristallloipe cross-country track starts here) and Gasthof Tetter inn. Finally you reach Waldhäuslalm inn where the sleigh turns around and follows the same route back to Rohrmoos.
With the Planai buses from Schladming (Planet-Planai, Lendplatz) to the village of Rohrmoos - bus stop "Rohrmoos-Zentrum".

Warm clothing is a must - without moving yourself it quickly can get cold on the sleigh.
