In the Schladming-Dachstein region around the Saumerhof there are 1000 km of hiking trails of every level of difficulty - from gentle hikes to via ferrata. A winter holiday in Schladming-Dachstein means you are in the middle of Austria's greatest skiing pleasure in ski amade. The Reiteralm ski area is less than 5 minutes by car from our apartments. Varied pistes of every level of difficulty and traditional huts to stop for refreshments await you on the mountain. Then it goes on over the Hochwurzen, Planai up to the Hauser Kaibling.

Beautiful walks through picturesquely snow-covered landscapes, to rustic alpine pastures, where you will be cared for by the warm Styrian hospitality - even off the 4-mountain ski circuit there is plenty to explore in the Schladming-Dachstein region.On your mark, let's go! Tobogganing is one of the most varied alternative sports.

Fun and action for the whole family are guaranteed. On the Hochwurzen, approx. 15 minutes drive from the Saumerhof, there is a 7 km long natural toboggan run, which is open day and night in winter. To round off the excursion perfectly with the whole family, enjoy Austrian specialities such as „Ripperl;, „Kasnocken"; or the delicious „Kaiserschmarrn“ at one of the rustic huts.

Our region and above all the town of Ramsau am Dachstein, 10 minutes away, is famous for its numerous perfectly groomed cross-country skiing and skating trails. The Schladming-Dachstein region has a network of over 220 km of cross-country ski trails.
