Preintalerhütte

The Preintaler Hut is a mountain hut, a wonderful day trip destination for enthusiastic hikers who ascend past the longest waterfall in Styria and over the Alpine trail, the "Höll", to the idyllic Riesach Lake. From there, the wide path continues flat until the Kotalm, from where a narrower trail leads gently upwards to the hut.

The Preintaler Hut also offers 120 sleeping places in rooms and dormitories, making it a perfect "base camp" for multi-day hikes, as the Klafferkessel, the king stage in the Schladminger Tauern, and numerous peaks like Hochwildstelle or Waldhorn can be easily hiked with light luggage. Furthermore, the mountain hut is a stage destination of the Schladminger Tauern High Trail, lies on the route "from glacier to wine," and on the 02 long-distance trail.
