Tour description
By integrating an existing avalanche shed and utilizing it during the summer months, a completely new perspective on these protective structures is created. The wordplay Lawinen[GALERIE] takes on a dual meaning from its german expression, where Galerie means avalanche or rock shed as well as gallery in the sense of an art gallery. Nowhere else is it possible to use such protective structures as a unique exhibition space and marvel at them from up close. This is made possible by specially planned and manufactured display cases. The project is the marketing of a unique alpine tourism offer. To date, it is not known that such avalanche sheds have been utilized for added value in this way anywhere else in the world. Far away from regular exhibitions and museums, art and culture are celebrated on the mountain. Public art for everyone.
