High up on the Ramsau am Dachstein plateau, at an altitude of 1,150 m, is our home, Haus Felsenheim, in one of the sunniest spots of the Schladming-Dachstein region. Haus Felsenheim lies quietly on the outskirts of the forest in Ramsau Vorberg. The bus stop for the free ski bus to the ski amadé area, to the Ramsau ski region, with Kali’s adventure ski-runs, and to the Alp’s easternmost glacier at the Hoher Dachstein, is only 100 metres away from the house, and just a 20-minute walk or five-minute drive, you get to the centre of Ramsau am Dachstein, the family-friendly, popular holiday resort, where you’ll find supermarkets, a museum, a public indoor pool, and the ski jump. Experience Styrian hospitality at the nearby restaurants. In the mornings, we welcome you with a rich breakfast buffet, so look forward to crusty bread rolls and brown bread fresh from the local bakery, aromatic coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, a savoury cold cuts and cheese platter, several kinds of jam and cereals, as well as a fresh seasonal fruit salad. Well fortified, you can head out from our non-smoking house on a day full of adventure, knowing you can store your kit at our ski depot and dry your boots in our driers when you return. The double rooms at Haus Felsenheim are furnished with solid wood and decorated with friendly colours. They have Sat TV, shower and WC, a small sitting corner, as well as an ample balcony, which invites you to sunbathe and relax in summer. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire house. You can also book a holiday flat with panoramic views and a living-sleeping room, separate kitchen, bathroom with shower and WC, and a south-facing balcony. In summer, Ramsau am Dachstein is the ideal starting point for impressive hikes and climbing and biking tours in the mountains of the Dachstein massif and the Schladming Tauern. At nearby Rittisberg, you find various attractions such as a fairytale trail and a barefoot path, a high-ropes adventure park, a summer tobogganing run, archery, and much more. In winter, you can access the Ramsau World Championship-level 220 km network of cross-country trails right from the house. During a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride along the Ramsau winter walking paths, you might want to stop by one of the cosy huts, where you will fall for the distinctive Ramsau alpine huts’ flair and will be pleased to come back again.
