Tour description
The traverse of the Hoher and Niederer Dirndl is a relatively easy and popular climb on the south side of the Dachstein. The route runs mostly along the ridge, with beautiful exposed passages. The surrounding landscape, with views of the rugged Hoher Dachstein and down to the green Ramsauer Plateau, is diverse. Our mountain guides are the perfect contact for your Dirndl traverse.

Ascent with the Dachsteingletscherbahn and from the Hunerkogel approach via the Hallstätter Gletscher to the Seethalerhütte. Next to the hut, the route leads to the ridge; the entrance is located in a hollow below a pointed tower.

6-8 quickdraws, 60-meter single rope, possibly a basic set of nuts and a helmet. Depending on the glacier conditions, glacier equipment may be necessary.
