Steinerweg

UIAA 5+

One of the great climbing classics in the northern Limestone Alps. It was first climbed in 1909 by the two brothers "Irg" and Franz Steiner, who for the first time found a line directly through the imposing 850 meter high south face.

Tour dates:

  • Difficulty level: 4 to 5+
  • Length and duration: 29 rope lengths with 1000 meters of climbing, pure climbing time around 5-9 hours
  • Approach 2 hours from the valley station of the Dachstein glacier cable car

You will definitely find the ideal companion for this tour here: mountain guides from the region.
