The tour

This impressive tour leads along the road to the Erzherzog-Johann-Hütte, from there along a path below the hut over a bridge and further along the stream. After passing through a small piece of forest, you cross an open space and get to the mowing field. At the hut of the same name, turn northeast onto the next cirque to reach the Kammkarlspitz. Please note the wildlife sanctuary zones.

Turn-by-turn directions

Ascent: Follow the road to the Erzherzog-Johann-Hütte. Below the hut along the path over the bridge. Then follow the course of the stream. After passing through the south-eastern part of the forest, continue northwards over the open area to the Mahdfeld. Pass above the Mahdfeldhütte, in a north-easterly direction up to the Kammkarlspitz.

Descent: Same as ascent.
