The existing Buckelwald Trail, for which an old hiking trail was adapted, was given a 90% new route from the 2023 season and was expanded into a very natural enduro trail that makes the enduro heart beat faster.

The start of the trail can be reached directly from the Preunegg Jet mountain station via the Eiskar Trail. The turn-off is clearly visible just below the Eiskar hut at the start of the forest. The single trail winds its way through the forest for a short stretch before crossing a meadow directly above the Hochalm and continuing westwards into the next section of forest. The first short section in the forest is very technical and 100% hand-built. After the forest road, the route leads through an idyllic moorland landscape to the next meadow crossing. You then ride along a very natural forest path with lots of rock and root passages until you reach a forest road, which ends after a short ride directly into the final section of the Hochalm Trail. The rest of the descent to the Preunegg Jet valley station leads via the Hochalm Trail and then via the Schnepfenwald Trail directly to the valley station.

From Salzburg:

Follow the A10 to Altenmarkt. There join the B320 and continue in the direction of Liezen. At the Pichl/Preunegg exit, follow the Preunegg road for approx. 3.5km.

From Graz:

Follow the A9 until Liezen. There join the B320 and continue in the direction of Schladming. At the Pichl/Preunegg exit, follow the Preunegg road for approx. 3.5 km.

It is recommended that you first inspect the route at moderate speed to familiarise yourself with the route and any obstacles.
Only drive on paved and signposted paths.
The safety distances to the driver in front must be observed.
Pay attention to traffic at crossroads! Be considerate and give way.
Avoid blocking the back wheel and thus help to maintain the paths.
