Use for free the toll road to Forstau Winkltal, about 7.5 km long, gravel lane to the Vögeialm (elev. 1.360 m)
Beautiful hikes are possible from the Vögeialm, to the Oberhütte (1,860m) and Oberhüttensee (90 mins.), via the Klamml back to the Oberhütte and returning to the Vögeialm (4.5 hrs.), as well as via the Klamml to the Seekarspitze (2,350 m) 3.5 hrs. Short hiking path from the Vögeialm via the Fallhausalm and back to the Vögeialm (40 mins.). From the Oberhütte to the Steirische Kalkspitze (2,459 m) 90 mins. From the Oberhütte to the Lungauer Kalkspitze (2,471 m) 90 mins.
