Nature.Power.Place Gstemmer wayside cross
Tour description
Gstemmer is a historic site with an eventful past, commemorated by the wayside shrine erected in 2022. The Gstemmer farm was first recorded in 1434 and has been home to generations for centuries. Hard agricultural work was always carried out here in harmony with nature.
In 1924, Gstemmer was sold to the merchant Franz Schneider. He wanted to build a hotel instead of the farm, "insured everything thoroughly beforehand and then bribed his brother-in-law to set fire to Gstemmer." On August 22, 1924, the 600-year-old farm fell victim to fire.
The wayside shrine at this location is intended to honor the memory of the people who lived there and promote awareness of the responsibility to preserve nature.
THE RESONANCE EXERCISE
GSTEMMER WOODWAY SHRINE EARTH-SKY GESTURE
For you
- Find a good place and position next to the Gstemmer wayside shrine.
- Similar to the (dry) scooping gesture at nearby Heiligenbrunn, slowly lower your hands in a bowl in front of your body, absorbing the power of the space within. Then raise the bowl above your head, catching the light, and distribute both qualities around your body with arms and fingers fully extended. To do this, lower your arms in large circles to your sides.
- Vibrant repetitions deepen the exercise.
Focus
- Movement
- Mental Strengthening
- Strengthening, Motoric, Stretching
- The scooping gesture also strengthens in the upward and downward movements: the more vigorously the exercise is performed, the more effective it is.
- In the upward movement, the spine is stretched, and during the following arm movement, the entire shoulder-arm line is stretched through its own power.
- By stretching the arms, the exercise also promotes fine motor skills adaptation through the adaptation of the arms and hands (the "bowl").
- Perceiving oneself as part of the greater whole
How do I perceive my connection with earth and heaven?
YOUR MAGICAL MOMENT
A sunrise walk with the Gstemmer wayside shrine on Bleiberg mountain
offers a magical moment. The morning sunbeams breathe a special
atmosphere into the sculpture. The two-church axis view (Irdning-Aigen)
perfectly rounds off this moment.
