Star Place Birnberg
Tour description
Get ready for a planetary journey of discovery - directly under the starry sky of Birnberg near Haus im Ennstal! A fascinating view of our cosmic neighbors awaits you at the Sternenplatz: from glowing hot Venus to gigantic Jupiter and stormy Neptune - here our solar system becomes an experience for young and old.
Did you know that the sun melts 600 million tons of hydrogen every second? Or that Saturn's storms rage faster than any jet? And that the highest mountains in the solar system are on Mars? The informative panels on site clearly explain what makes our eight planets - and the sun - so unique. Even the dwarf planet Pluto and the question “What actually makes a planet?” are not neglected.
This stargazing spot is ideal for anyone who is enthusiastic about astronomy or simply wants to look up at the sky with curious eyes. Combined with a clear night and perhaps even a look through a telescope, your visit will be an unforgettable journey through space.
So grab your family, pack a thermos flask and let the planets tell you the secrets of our solar system.
Here you can see exactly where the pitch is located.
