Sleigh ride Oberhorner-Halseralm
Tour description
Explore Pichl-Vorverg on top of the horse-drawn sleigh. The ride takes you from Oberhorner farm at Vorberg to Rösteralm inn and 400-year old Halseralm inn between the Halserberg and Rittisberg mountains. If you like, get a refreshment, warm drink or a snack at one of the inns, before you head back to Oberhorner farm. Shortly before you arrive, there is another possibility for a stop - the "Jausenplatzl" of Astlhof farm.
Rides with the horse-drawn sleigh have to be booked in advance. In Pichl-Vorberg, family Pitzer of the Oberhorner farm is your provider: +43 6454 7369. There is a minimum fee per sleigh. Additionally the prices depend on the length of the tour agreed upon with the respective provider. Kids up to 10 years get a 50 % reduction. If the ride ends after 7 pm there is a night shift premium!

From the meeting point at Oberhornerhof farm the ride starts out on Pichl-Vorberg, passing by the farms of Brandstätterhof, Faslhof and Astlhof (with "Jausenplatzl" inn). At pension Arnika the ride takes you into a short section of forest on the Eastern slopes of Halserberg. Soon, your sleigh route meets the one coming from the village of Ramsau and now takes you westward to the winter chalets and inns between Halserberg and Rittisberg. The route ascents just a bit towards Rösterstube inn, and a few minutes further you reach Halseralm inn. If you like, you can stop for refreshments at one of the inns, before your sleigh heads back to Oberhornerhof farm. Remark: of course the route always depends on the weather conditions and firmness of underground!
