Spechtenseehütte

Embedded in the picturesque landscape of the Toten Gebirge, the Spechtenseehütte is located at an altitude of 1,050 meters, just a few minutes' walk from the lake of the same name. The hut proudly bears the award “Kulinarium Steiermark Hütte” – for true Styrian moments of pleasure amidst nature. The Spechtenseehütte offers a cozy parlor and a sunny terrace with a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountain world – an ideal place to escape daily life and let your soul dangle.

The kitchen of the Spechtenseehütte places special emphasis on regional specialties and seasonal dishes. Whether hearty snack boards, fresh salads, or homemade cakes – there’s something for everyone’s taste.

There is also the possibility of overnight stays (only in summer), either in one of the rooms or in the rustic dormitory, which is ideal for larger groups.

Archery Spechtenseehütte

With bow and arrow through the beautiful winter landscape. The winter course with 14 3-D animal targets (two shots) runs alongside the cross-country ski trail and is therefore easily accessible. For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, the course can also partially be used as a bow biathlon, or walked with snowshoes.
