Spechtenseehütte

Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Totes Gebirge, the Spechtenseehütte is located at 1,050 meters above sea level, just a few minutes' walk from the Spechtensee lake of the same name. The hut proudly bears the “Kulinarium Steiermark Hütte” award - for genuine Styrian moments of pleasure in the midst of nature. The Spechtenseehütte offers a cozy parlor and a sunny terrace with a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains - an ideal place to escape from everyday life and unwind.

The kitchen at the Spechtenseehütte places particular emphasis on regional specialties and seasonal dishes. Whether hearty snack platters, fresh salads or homemade cakes - everyone will find something to their taste here.

It is also possible to stay overnight (only in summer), either in one of the rooms or in the rustic dormitory, which is ideal for larger groups.

• You can fish for trout & pike.
• Day ticket: €25.00/3 fish included.

Archery at Spechtenseehütte

With bow and arrow through the beautiful winter landscape. The winter course with 14 3-D animal targets (two shots) runs alongside the cross-country ski trail and is therefore easily accessible. For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, the course can also be partially used as a bow biathlon or walked on with snowshoes.
