Guttenberghaus

Built in 1914, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Guttenberghaus in 2014, and we are particularly pleased that everything in and around the hut still retains its "rustic" character and has been preserved in its original form. It has been modernized time and again, making many things simpler and better, but always preserving the style of a mountaineering or refuge hut. The satisfaction of our young guests is also evident in the children's mountain camp organized by the Haus im Ennstal section, which has been held for over 40 years. This camp is also an important showcase for us and will hopefully spend many more happy years at the Guttenberghaus!

Our award "With Children in Huts" from the Alpine Association also demonstrates that families with children are in good hands with us. The hut is recommended for children aged 6 or 7 and up due to its easy access, so that children are not immediately overwhelmed. Our location is the starting point for many different hiking options, ranging from moderate to difficult, yet always "high alpine!"
