    EXPERIENCE THE NEW PERSPECTIVES ON THE DACHSTEIN glacier

    The Dachstein - which has always been a place of longing for alpinists - is not "just" a mountain, but with its 2,995 metres a true mountain personality in the Austrian Alps. In 1969, the Dachstein glacier was opened up to tourists for the first time with the Dachstein Südwandbahn cable car. The reopening of the completely renovated and modernised mountain station marks the start of a new era on the Dachstein: 

    • New gastronomy offer for culinary summit victories 
    • Up to 80 % energy self-sufficient thanks to photovoltaic panelling
    • New additional viewing platforms & photo hotspots
    • New and expanded attractions & glacier highlights
