Stainach-Pürgg at the foot of the mighty Grimming is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours and excursions in summer. In winter, the Spechtensee drag lift, the cross-country ski trail and snowshoe tours are great.
The local poet, Peter Rossegger, early on called the idyllic place “the crib of Styria” due to its romantic location.
