The fundamental idea and mission behind Kulturlandschaft Schladming-Dachstein is to place a greater emphasis on the cultural and artistic assets of the region – pooling resources, reshaping and reimagining programs and offerings. It aims to bring together and showcase the diverse range of art and culture from all corners of the region.
The Schladming-Dachstein Art and Culture Map provides an overview of existing initiatives, institutions, and facilities in the region, while also revealing previously untapped potential. This map serves as a tool for networking and collaboration.

Geheimnisvolles Schladming - Habsburgs Brasilien-Connection
Schladming kennen heute alle als Winterparadies. Vermutlich haben sich nur wenige Gäste dieser Gemeinde gefragt, warum das Rathaus in einem Prachtschloss untergebracht ist - und warum im zweiten Stock dieses Gebäudes eine steinerne Krone auf das Kaiserreich Brasilien verweist. Regisseur Alexander Frohner und Autor Günter Fuhrmann rollen von hier aus das Geheimnis von Schladming auf und kommen dabei bis nach Brasilien, auf die Spuren der Nachfahren der österreichischen Erzherzogin Leopoldine, die dorthin verheiratet worden ist. Einer ihrer Erben, August Leopold, machte Schladming später zu seinem Hauptwohnsitz. Der Coburger mit brasilianischen Wurzeln lockte den internationalen Hochadel und Künstler aus der ganzen Donaumonarchie in die Alpenstadt.
