Small Gate-Tour
moderate Ski tour open terrain · Ramsau am Dachstein
The starting point for this short gateway tour is the car park at the Dachstein Gletscherbahn valley station at an altitude of approx. 1,700 metres. From here, head east for about one kilometre to the start of the Edelgrieß.
Turn north-east and climb up to the Edelgrieß. After one kilometre you reach the steep step. Caution: crampons + ice axe may be necessary here. At kilometre three, you are now at the highest point of the tour (2,527 m). From here, the route continues steadily downhill along hiking trail 618, past the Gruberscharte ridge, with the Guttenberghaus on the left. The last kilometre you cycle or walk downhill along a forest road and finally you have reached the end point of the route - the Feisterer car park.
Tip: Would you like to make this gateway tour even more attractive? Then you can also choose a different starting point. Park your car directly at the car park at SKI-WILLY in Schildlehen 83, start at the ski slope of the Zauberlift and walk to the groomed ski trail in the direction of Brandalm. From the Brandalm, it is approx. 30 minutes along a ski trail to the valley station of the Dachstein Südwandbahn cable car.
From the west: Tauern Autobahn (A 10) to Knoten Ennstal - turnoff direction Graz/Schladming - stay on the Ennstal-Bundesstraße (B320) for approx. 20 km until Schladming - take the turnoff for Ramsau.
From the north: Pyhrn Autobahn (A 9) direction Liezen - take the Ennstal-Bundesstraße (B320) to Schladming - turnoff Ramsau.
