Aliou Dieme comes from Senegal and studied traditional dance pedagogy, movement improvisation and rhythm at the Art
School in Dakar. He combines the traditional dances and ritual gestures of the villages of West Africa with his unique
dance style, releasing a real firework of joy of life. The desire to move and the joy of dancing are the focus of the seminar.
What you need to bring with you is curiosity and the longing for rhythm, dance and movement.
Course leader: Aliou Dieme comes from Casamance, the green south of Senegal. He attended the Conservatory of Dance
and Music and then studied traditional and modern dance, dance pedagogy, acting, movement improvisation and rhythm
at the "Mudra Afrique" art school in Dakar. Since 1987, Aliou Dieme has lived alternately in Vienna and Senegal. He
passes on his extensive knowledge to adults and children in courses throughout Austria and also in Senegal.
