Starting from the Congress Centre Ramsau and Schladming Hochwurzen, Alpine Fatbike offers a selection of daily guided tours throughout the winter season. 

Whether you are looking for a romantic visit to an alpine hut or an enchanted pasture tour, challenging freeride adventures, or a unique evening tour: discover a new side of Schladming-Dachstein’s winter wonderland on two wheels! 

With its numerous groomed winter walking and sleigh tracks, ski descents, single trails and sledding trails, the region to the south of the Dachstein is an ideal location for your personal fat bike adventure. Off to the snow! 

NEW in the season 2020/2021: for family tours, we offer kids-e-fat-bikes (minimum height is 1.30 m)

Fatbike Ramsau am Dachstein

In Ramsau am Dachstein we offer several Fatbike tours daily during the whole winter season. Starting from the centre of Ramsau we have more than 170 km of prepared pistes, toboggan runs, winter hiking trails and trails at our disposal.

Our guides have the right tour for all requirements - from a leisurely alpine excursion to a challenging freeride adventure.

No previous knowledge is required for our alpine and family tours, the minimum age is 14 years.

We start daily at 10.00, 14.00 and 18.00 (Nightride Sonnenalm).

Fatbike Hochwurzen

Discover the winter landscape of the Schladming-Dachstein region by bike! Alpine Fatbike offers you daily guided Fatbike adventures. The Norco Fatbikes are specially built for riding on snow. The wide balloon tyres allow easy running and control in all snow conditions. Rohrmoos - Hochwurzen
Hochwurzen has one of the longest natural toboggan runs in the Alps. The perfect route for a guided fatbike downhill tour. Meeting point is the valley station of the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen. With the Gipfelbahn it's uphill to the start at 1,850 m and then downhill the 7 km and 26 curves to the valley station with the Fatbikes - the whole thing up to 5 times (maximum 3 hours). Prerequisites are a basic knowledge of mountain biking and a minimum age of 10 years. Starting several times a day from Monday to Friday evening dates also possible!

The Hochwurzen Downhill is perfect for an evening trip (19.00 - 22.00).

Additional Costs:
Ramsau: Day pass for the groomed tracks: € 8 with a WinterCard discount or € 10.50 without a WinterCard. 
Hochwurzen: Valid lift pass required.

Kulmberg Tour - our sunny tour

The beginner's tour of our program is ideal for people with less endurance and families with kids! 
The Kulmberg Tour leads along the daily groomed horse-drawn sleigh tracks on gentle, sunny slopes around Ramsau's Kulmberg. 
You will not need as much strength for the short ascents on this tour.

Halseralm Tour - a family tour to a romantic alpine huts

An ideal tour for beginners and families. 
The tour to the alpine hut is relatively short and technically easy. 

The Halseralm Tour follows the horse-drawn sleigh tracks on gentle ascents and descents. It in includes an approx. 60 minutes break at the Halseralm.
The Halseralm (1.200 m) is a special feature of the region as it is an over 400-year-old pasture hut. The cooking is done on a 140-year-old wooden stove and all 4 parlours as well as the terrace, invite you to enjoy this special experience.

Sonnenalm Tour- our most popular tour

The Sonnenalm Tour is one of our most popular tours. 
This could be because this tour can be tailored to the individual. 
The ascent to the Sonnenalm - as well as the descent - can be done on different trails with varying levels of difficulty. 

One of the other reasons may be the Sonnenalm (1.300 m) with its host, Gerhard, who spoils his guests with regional treats and always makes for  a good fun time.

Kulmberg Trail Tour

The Kulmberg is a Trail-Eldorado.

At the Kulmberg, you will find various single trails that will cover all your needs.
In short: single flow trails and sunny southern slopes.

Türlwand Freeride - Best of Downhill and Trails

The longest downhill descent on our program. Almost 21 km long, 1.300 m descent and 350 m ascent, 9 km slope, 5 km of single trail, and 7 km forestry road - from Dachstein Gondola's Bottom Station down to Weissenbach in the Enns Valley. 
This tour is characterized by its windy descent via the slopes with a beautiful panorama, narrow single flow trails, and fast forestry roads. 

The Türlwand Freeride is the right tour for ambitious mountain bikers who are looking for nature experience and technical challenges. Prerequisites for this tour are confidence on narrow trails as well as good physical fitness for the short ascents.

You will be rewarded with unique views and epic trails followed by coffee & cake at Hartweger's in Weissenbach.

Ramsau's 3Mountain Tour

The tour is for experienced athletes! We will cycle around the Sattelberg, Kulmberg, and Rittisberg.
In short: Never before has time passed so quickly on a long cycling tour.

3MountainTrail Tour- never-ending flow trails

As a variation of our 3Mountain Tour, this is the ultimate tour for bikers who love single trails and are not afraid of harsh ascents. The trail ratio lies at 40% (18 km) and consists of a majority of flow trails - the trails are also enjoyable with medium technical abilities.  

Insider Tip: don't forget your ski goggles for the long descents 

Hochwurzen Downhill - a flow trail for everyone

The natural sledging trail Hochwurzen, with 7 km in length and 730 vertical meters, is one of the longest sledging trails of the alps.  
For the 39 bends, a single descent will take the group 20 minutes on average. 
From Monday to Friday, we offer 3 slots of 3 hours daily. 
You will need a valid lift pass (day or evening pass) to participate. 

Our Hochwurzen Downhill is the perfect snow flow trail and offers just as much pleasure to beginners and professionals. 
Beginners will definitely enjoy a relaxed descent on the grippy snow. 
Professionals can take advantage of the 40 bends to improve their technical skills. 
Everyone will get the most out of it and can enjoy a pure fat biking experience. 

Tip 1: The Hochwurzen Downhill is especially suited for evening tours (7 pm - 10 pm). 
Tip 2: As part of the Downhill Tour you will receive technical training made for snow. Dependent on skills, it will cover braking, stable cycling, and for advanced cyclists, it will cover curve techniques on snow.
