Nordic Winter Opening

Gliding along the cross-country trails through deep snow-covered winter landscapes with the first rays of sunshine, discovering winter away from après-ski ballads and crowds and experiencing special feelings of happiness. This is real deceleration in the middle of nature, so also at the NORDIC WINTER OPENING in the Schladming-Dachstein Region from 07.-10.12.2023 - a must for all cross-country skiing enthusiasts and those who still want to become one.

Professionals and beginners have the unique opportunity to enjoy a vacation in the Schladming-Dachstein Region, to experience the diversity of Nordic sports to the fullest on perfectly groomed trails and to test new products from Fischer, Rossignol, Madshus and many more on the spot.

This year for the first time it is possible to be brought comfortably and sustainably directly to and from the event by PLANAIBUS. Three lines bring you comfortably from Vienna, Linz or Graz to Ramsau and back. All info and details see: www.planaibus.at

Also this year it is possible to participate in the event without a booked cross-country skiing course and to fully immerse yourself in the world of cross-country skiing thanks to a diverse program. 1-, 2- or 3-day tickets are available. Accommodations in partner hotels can be found on the event website (www.nordic-opening.info) or booked through the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association.

On site the visitors find among other things numerous exhibitors of considerable ski manufacturers, who make their products available to the free test, a free Drive in wax service loads to the professional tuning of the own ski, common Warm-ups led by the alpine school roof stone, a Biathlon shooting stand, exciting Workshops approximately around the Nordic sport, a common homeland evening, a tombola with valuable material prices, uvm. The snowfarming team of the RVB will ensure one hundred percent snow safety on the event weekend.
