Distillery Mandlberggut

14 Recenzje

Radstadt

Since 15 years we produce exclusive brandies, first with simple combustion devices (rough and fine-firing), since 2008 with the modernst Distillers. This modern technology allows us to produce excellent fires in high quality in one pass. We use mainly fruits of our region, including wild raspberries, black berries (blueberries), rowan berries, but also the suppositories or the mountain pine Zirbenkiefer.

Dachstein destillery

The fact that Theresa Warter has also dedicated herself to distilling schnapps is a stroke of luck. Because by "distilling" are joy, time and love the most important ingredients. Why the "true spirit" is only accessible to those who know, we will tell you on our guided tours. In 2008 the family Warter fulfilled a great dream with the addition of the Dachstein distillery. Together with a modern distillery equipment the noble brandies are now even more perfect.

The quality of the fine brandies is our top priority:
- Only fresh and ripe fruit is used as the basis for our products
- Fermentation in a temperature-controlled room to preserve the aroma
- Distilled according to the traditional process in copper boiler
- No added sugar - neither to mash nor to distillate
- The noble brandies are subjected to careful storage for several years
- All distillates are bottled manually at the Mandlberggut

Mounain pine destillery

The foundation of the Mandlberggut Manufaktur is the mountain pine distillery - we were enchanted by the scent and the effects of the "mountain pine".

The mountain pine is a protected species. With permission it may be collected for oil extraction. The "Latschen" from the Mandlberggut grow in Obertauern, with the power of Mother Earth. The mountain pine harvest keeps the pastures free for the alpine cattle. From 400 kg of needles and twig tips they extract approx. 1 litre of essential mountain pine oil - which they sell 100 % natural. The essential oil smells wonderful, relaxing on cold days some drops in the bath water are a real blessing.

Swiss stone pine destillery

The family Warter obtains the particularly valuable essential Swiss stone pine oil from fresh needles, twig tips and branches - with great care, because the Princess of the Alps grows up to 1,000 years old in high alpine regions.

People have always loved the soft, pliable and soothingly scented Swiss stone pine wood for making beds and furniture.

The positive effect of Swiss stone pine for heart and circulation was scientifically proven in a long-term study by the "Institute for non-invasive Diagnostics - Joanneum Research" at the University of Graz.

mandl:bergkaffee

The unique location of the cosy snack station at 980 m above sea level, with magnificent views of "King Dachstein" and the Schladminger Tauern mountains, makes the Warter family happy every day.

We would like to invite you to enjoy homemade pastries, sausages and game specialities from our own farm. Summer and winter - and as a crowning finale perhaps with an exquisite schnapps from the Edelbrand-Manufaktur.

Whether you arrive by car, sporty by bike or hiking is entirely up to you. Everything is possible. Buses and groups are also welcome.

Guided tours and groups

Times of the guided tours:
Every day, except on rest days, guided tours for individuals and small groups (up to 15 people) take place during opening hours. There are pre-set times for this, you can find them on the homepage on the start page or on site at the clock in front of the mountain pine distillery. Please register by group-tours from 15 persons!

The mountain pine and schnapps distillery can also be visited on your own when there are no guided tours.

The minimum number of participants for guided tours are 5 persons.

Schöner Familienbetrieb

Ralf Bosse |

It is a good idea to visit Dachstein Destillerie when the weather is bad.
