Idea and concept of Peter Gruber & Thomas Pilz
Alpine and Oriental. We see both interwoven in a wonderful way in the Christmas cribs. The author Peter Gruber embarks on a journey to the Orient together with musicians, singers and young amateur actors. There, where the origins of the biblical Christmas story are founded. A very special search for traces and hostels. Inspired by the innumerable nativity scenes as they exist in our region, lovingly maintained, in every house, in every apartment. With all the well-known symbolic figures: shepherds, sheep, oxen, donkeys, kings, angels, Mary, Joseph. A pre-Christmas programme with exquisite musical creations from alpine tradition and oriental mysticism. O joy, o joy! Peace to men on earth! Little children, come, o come all! The combination of literature, music, song and theatre also promises a particularly sensual pleasure at the fifth "Ennstaler Advent".
