Gröbming

Stoderzinken via ferratas: Ideal via ferrata for beginners with 7 variants to get to know. Different levels of difficulty from A to E. The conclusion leads over a suspension bridge.

START at Friedenskircherl. Climbing equipment required!

1 - Flora dough (A) - sure-footedness necessary!
2 - Via ferrata "Karl" (30m, D)
3 - Via ferrata "Julius" (30m, E)
4 - Via ferrata "Emil" (20m, B / C)
5 - Via ferrata "David" (20m, A / B)
6 - Via ferrata "Franz" (300m, B / C)
7 - Via ferrata "Peter" (450m, B / C)

Beautiful via ferrata garden below the summit of the Stoderzinken. The tours can be ideally combined with a summit climb, at the end there are five variants with different levels of difficulty to choose from. The landscape starts impressively at the Friedenskircherl, which stands in the middle of the rock face. If you are looking for even more adventure, combine your trip with a zipline ride. (the largest cable gliding facility in the Alps. Information at www.zipline.at).

NEW: A new, additional via ferrata was built by Hans Prugger from Ramsau in 2020 for the existing via ferrata garden and the "Franz" via ferrata on the Stoderzinken, which was built in 2018. In addition to the via ferratas “Karl, Julius, Emil, David and Franz”, the 450m long via ferrata “Peter” marked with difficulty level B / C now enriches the Stoderzinken. The entrance is on the right-hand side after the Friedenskircherl at the Florasteig junction. At 420 m, the youngest via ferrata in the via ferrata park on the Stoderzinken is the longest Via Ferrata on the Stoder and comes closest to the summit. The difficulties with B / C are relatively constant and are interrupted after a 2/3 climb length by a long, light crossing. With the via ferrata Franz and Peter, the Stoderzinken has become a worthwhile, independent via ferrata destination, which rightly outstrips its famous neighbor, the Dachstein, in terms of enjoyment via ferrata.
