By train

International express trains stop in Schladming an Stainach / Irdning. Stations for regional trains can be found in Pichl, Haus im Ennstal, Aich, Pruggern, Gröbming, Stein an der Enns, Öblarn  and Niederöblarn. 

Arrival by ÖBB
Eurocity and Intercity trains operated by ÖBB travel through Ennstal every two hours. Providing you with direct connections from Graz, Innsbruck and Salzburg. If you are coming from Vienna, trains depart every two hours with just one change in Leoben, before continuing (from the same platform) to Schladming. 

Intercity “ÖBB Holiday Express” Vienna-Schladming
As of winter season 2019/2020, an ÖBB express train every Saturday (from 21.12.19 to 7.3.20) provides a direct connection between the Austrian capital, Vienna, and our Schladming-Dachstein holiday region. The train originates in Vienna, continuing via St. Pölten and Linz to Schladming. The train also stops in Stainach-Irdning, Öblarn, Haus and Schladming. Tickets are available from € 19 per person.

Arrival by Deutsche Bahn
The trains operated by Deutsche Bahn provide transportation to Schladming-Dachstein from practically all areas of Germany. For example, travelers from northern Germany, Berlin or the Rhein-Ruhr region can ride high-speed ICE trains to Munich, then take advantage of daily EuroCity direct connections to Schladming. Family tip: Children love trains. And families really appreciate the freedom trains offer to move about freely. They also offer really affordable fares: Your own children and grandchildren under age 15 can accompany you on your holidays for free! Their names simply have to be entered on their parents’ or grandparents’ ticket.
