IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Please note that tolls are charged for road use if the gondola is not used. When using the gondola, the toll for the Dachsteinstraße is included. Please validate your toll ticket at the machine in the Dachstein mountain station so that you can enjoy free road use.
- Especially in the summer months, our services on the Dachstein Glacier are heavily dependent on weather and snow conditions. In the glacier report, you will find daily updates on snow and weather conditions, slopes and lifts, cross-country trails, and additional services on the Dachstein Glacier.
The Dachstein glacier trail
The longest glacier trails in the world stretch 2,700 meters above sea level - surrounded by a wonderful mountain backdrop of a special kind. From November to July, the world elite have the opportunity to train hard here for the upcoming competitions. Around 500 athletes from more than 25 nations use the cross-country ski trails on the Schladming and Hallstatt glaciers every day during this period.
Training opportunities are almost unlimited - for both professional and amateur athletes.

Ortovox Training Park
An ORTOVOX TRAINING PARK and an avalanche transceiver CHECKPOINT are now available on the Dachstein glacier. These innovative facilities offer practical training opportunities and enable reliable functional checks of safety equipment.
