Via ferrata Franz am Stoderzinken
moderate Via ferratas · Gröbminger Land
In summer 2018, a new, more demanding via ferrata was added to the via ferrata garden at Stoderzinken. With a length of 300m and a degree of difficulty of B/C, it is very demanding. On the initiative of Franz Seebacher and Julius Steiner, the Stoderzinkenstraße was built between 1959 and 1962. The Franz via ferrata was dedicated to Mr Seebacher. Already the access to the via ferrata garden Stoderzinken is worth an experience - with a grandiose view over the Ennstal and the surrounding mountains. The start of the via ferrata Franz is after the Friedenskircherl at the junction Florasteig on the right side. With a length of around 300 metres, it is the most challenging climb and offers a varied climb of medium difficulty. The via ferrata was named after Franz Seebacher, who, along with Julius Steiner, was significantly involved in road and lift construction at Stoderzinken.

From Friedenskircherl you follow the Florasteig, which also serves as an access to the via ferrata park, a few metres to the first ascending left turn and then descend slightly to the right following the rope to a pillar. Down the pillar (B) and almost horizontally to the first pillar-like upswing (B/C and B) and then over a short meadow to the left to a slab wall with the Magic Mushroom (A and A/B). Pass the Steinpilz on the left uphill and then cross to the left to a pulpit and over the next pillar (B) and a zigzag (at the end again briefly B/C) under the final plate wall, which (B) leads to the exit. Now climb up briefly to the normal path on the summit and either right in 15 minutes to the summit or left in a few minutes to the via ferrata park or further to the car park.

Via ferrata is a demanding sport in the midst of beautiful, rough nature. Please note some rules for your safety:
1. via ferrata tours are exhausting and require stamina, a head for heights and sure-footedness.2. Always use a via ferrata set and a helmet and hang them on the safety rope. Many mountain rescue operations are due to carelessness and bad weather.3 Many tours are all-day tours. Always include the possibility of a weather change in your daily planning. Pay particular attention to clothing and provisions.4. Always behave considerately. Respect other climbers and inform them about dangers.5. Be careful with nature!
Tour at your own risk! No liability is accepted for any given or occurring alpine dangers (weather, etc.).
