The tour

When the last rays of the sun disappear behind the mountains, the day also comes to an end on the sunny plateau. The fun of cross-country skiing is not over yet. Several tracks in the World Cup stadium and part of the standard West cross-country trail are illuminated in the evening. There are almost limitless cross-country skiing experiences in Ramsau am Dachstein.

Another advantage of the night trail around the stadium is that the groomer drivers can concentrate on preparing all the other trails during this time and then after 9 p.m. freshly prepare the central stadium area for the next day. It is important for the quality of the trail that it can then harden properly during the night. Therefore, please do not run on the freshly groomed cross-country ski trails in the evenings or at night. Your tracks then freeze and reduce the quality of the trail for the next morning.

Turn-by-turn directions

You start in the World Cup stadium in the center of Ramsau. Along the standard West cross-country ski run, you can draw your tracks in the evening on the freshly groomed cross-country ski run all the way to the Ederstube and the hill by Haus Katharina. On the same route - and with the opportunity to take a lap around the reservoir, you run back to the stadium.

Getting there

From the west:

Take the A10 to Knoten Ennstal - take the exit towards Graz/Schladming. Drive along the Ennstal-Bundesstraße for approx. 20 km until you reach Schladming. Take the turn-off for Ramsau.

From the north:

Take the Pyhrnautobahn direction Liezen. Then follow the Ennstalbundesstraße to Schladming. Take the turn-off for Ramsau and follow the signs to the "Langlauf-Stadion" at Ramsau-Ort.
