moderate Hiking Trail · Naturpark Sölktäler
The Lemperkarsee offers a wonderful panorama with a view into the Kleinsölktal. The Kleinsölktal impresses in the rear part of the valley by steep slopes which are forested up to the summits. Archduke Johann of Austria (1782-1859) was already impressed by the Schwarzensee 200 years ago: It is extremely beautiful and I couldn't get enough of it. The silence in the big nature has the highest attraction and I confess it, here I would like to live every summer in loneliness for fourteen days".The amphitheatre at the end of the Putzentalalm is reminiscent of the Cirques of the Pyrenees. The short steep ascent to the Lemperkarsee is rewarded with an impressive view of the Schwarzensee and the panorama of the Schladminger Tauern. Further highlights of the hike are the Schwarzensee - the largest lake in the Niederen Tauern - and the Putzentalalm.
From the car park of the Breitlahnalm along the path 786 past the Schwarzensee to the Putzentalalm. Continue along path 786 towards Prebertörl until the turn-off to the left towards Lemparkarsee at 1,635m above sea level. From here, after a stream crossing, follow the steep uphill path to Lemparkarsee.
The path to Lemparkarsee is not marked after the turnoff at 1,635m above sea level. However, the route is clearly visible.
