Requirements: good walker, endurance

Equipment: high mountain boots with profile sole, backpack with rain protection, plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, snack, fruit, medication (which you have to take during the day) sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, possibly cap), T-Shirt to change, camera, binoculars, hiking poles are recommended.

We take the hiking cab to Großsölk to the Kaltenbachalm (1.748 m). From there we hike on a good path to the lower Kaltenbachsee, to the middle Kaltenbachsee and to the upper Kaltenbachsee to the Etrachböden (2.148 m). Here we are in the terrain of the last ice age. This is a magnificent plateau, which, as many jokingly say, would also make a good golf course.
